The SUMMARY tab of a Criminal Summons contains a synopsis of process details. The SUMMARY tab can be used to view these details. Also, the SUMMARY tab allows for issuing a Criminal Summons and for editing the Summary details. Below are the steps to edit the Summary details.

After searching for and retrieving a Criminal Summons, or adding a new Criminal Summons, the PROCESS TAB VIEW of the Criminal Summons will display. Click on the SUMMARY tab (if the process is retrieved from a search, this will be the default tab.)
Note: If the process status is Unserved or Served, the CASE SUMMARY TAB VIEW will display instead, defaulting to the ORIGINAL PROCESS tab. Click the View Process button from this tab. The PROCESS TAB VIEW of the Summons will then display, defaulted to the SUMMARY tab. |
The SUMMARY tab displays with all previously entered Summary information. Click the Edit Summary button.
The SUMMARY DETAIL screen displays. These are the functions and fields available from the SUMMARY DETAIL screen:
Process Information - Offense Date/Start Date of Offense and End Date for Offense (Offense Date fields can only be edited before Offenses are added), Domestic Violence, Domestic Violence Hold Required, Victim Rights and Fingerprint Required.
Issuing the Process - Probable Cause, (File Number), Date Issued, Issued By, (Select Issuer button), (Issued By Print Name/Title), Process Tracking County, Process Tracking Agency Type, Process Tracking Agency. See Issue a Criminal Summons.
Law Enforcement Information - OCA Number, OCA County, OCA Agency Type, and OCA Agency.
SHP Law Enforcement Information - Citation Number, Validation Character, Accident, Road Type, Highway, SHP Code, Vehicle Plate Number, State, and Vehicle Type.
Process Exists in Paper Form (see Add/Issue a Manual Process for Help on this field) .
Complete the edits and click the Edit button.
