Print an Order For Arrest

Once an Order For Arrest has been issued (single or multiple Defendant) on a case, it can then be printed. Before printing, the user can select the copy types needed (Original, Defendant, Court, Draft, and Other), the number of copies, and whether to send the print job directly to the printer (Print Direct), or display an electronic version of the document before printing (Create Document).

Below are the steps are to print both Single Defendant and Multiple Defendant OFAs.

Before you start:

  • An Order for Arrest must be issued (status = Unserved or Served) to print an Original, Defendant, Court, or Other copy.

  • A Draft copy can be printed for an Order for Arrest that has a status of Complete.

  • No print is allowed of an Order for Arrest with a status of No Serve.

  • The ability to print a specific copy type is also based on a user's role. Click on a copy type for details: Original, Defendant, Court, Draft, and Other.

  • A Draft copy is the only print allowed of an Order for Arrest converted from ACIS to NCAWARE  with partial data.

  • A record of an Original copy print of an Order for Arrest will be kept in Process Tracking.

  • If there are related cases attached to the Order for Arrest, then a File Number Attachment sheet will automatically print in the selected copy types along with the OFA.

  • In a situation where multiple processes are being printed due to a Defendant edit after issuance, see Multiple Process Print Due to Defendant Edit.

Printing either a Single or Multiple Defendant OFA

    1. From any tab of an Unserved or Served OFA TAB VIEW, click the Print Process button. [or if printing a Multiple Defendant OFA, click the Print OFAs button from the Multiple OFA - Confirmation screen.]

Notes

  • When either the Print Direct and Create Document buttons are used, the electronic version of the print request will remain on the screen until it is manually closed.

  • When either is used, both the Print Direct and Create Document buttons will display as inactive until a change is made on the PRINT REQUEST screen, or until the user navigates away from the screen.

  • Unwanted aliases (usually misspelled names) can be kept from printing to an OFA by deleting the associated alias from the defendant's Master Person record.

Note: If printing a Multiple Defendant OFA, click the Enter More OFAs button from the Multiple OFA - Confirmation screen to enter another "batch" of multiple Defendant OFAs.
