View Process Tracking Lists and Reports

Process Tracking is the section of NCAWARE containing functions related to the assignment, forwarding, updating, and viewing of outstanding processes assigned to law enforcement agencies.

On initiating processes that receive a status of Unserved upon issuance, the issuing authority is required to assign the service of the process to a law enforcement agency. Once assigned to the agency, the service of the process can be assigned to a LEO, forwarded to another agency, updated, or the process history viewed by that agency.

Other functions are also available:

Below are the steps to generate both of these options.

Before you start:

  • Only a User with the proper rights can generate a Process Tracking Report.

  • Although suggested, a Process Tracking structure does not have to be set up for an agency to generate Process Tracking Reports.

  • Either available report, regardless of search criteria, will only display processes with a status of Unserved.

  1. From the MAIN MENU, click the Track a Process link.

  1. The PROCESS TRACKING MENU screen displays. Click the List or Report on Processes for an Agency link.

  1. The GROUP SEARCH screen displays. This screen contains many "filter" options (fields used to define search results). Here are the available fields:

Enter search criteria into the required fields, and any of the optional fields, and click the Search button.

Note: The selection made in the Sort By field will determine the order the processes in your report display.

The Processes Assigned TO Agency screen displays, listing all processes assigned to the agency that match the entered search criteria. Here are the displayed fields:

Note: The fields in parenthesis do not display for an Assignment Status search of Assigned Pending Acceptance or Converted Pending Acceptance.

Other Functions:

Note: If your agency currently has no Locally Assigned processes, the report will be blank. If your agency has not set up a Process Tracking structure, then the fields Process Tracking Folder and Officer will be blank on the report.

Note: For certain Process Tracking actions, the Return To Clerk, Recalled Or Stricken Daily Clerk Report is available to clerks. Click the link for details.
