If a user has strong evidence that two different pre-existing Business records are actually the same Business, the user can submit a Merge Business Request. The Request will be reviewed by the State System Administrator (SSA) for NCAWARE. If the SSA determines that the request is valid, the SSA will perform a Merge on the records. Below are the steps to submit a request for a Business merge.
Before you start:
|
From the BUSINESS SEARCH RESULTS screen, select the radio button of a Business record and click the View button.
On the business search results screen, select the business to merge by clicking on the radio button beside the correct business name and clicking on the View button.
The BUSINESS DETAILS screen for the selected record will display. Click the Merge Request button.
The BUSINESS MERGE REQUEST screen displays. The selected Business, along with related details, is populated under the Merge this record section. This is the Business record that will ultimately be merged into another Business record. From the Into section, click the Search For Business button.
The BUSINESS SEARCH screen displays. The Business record found and retrieved through this screen will absorb certain data from the Merge this record Business record (Steps #1-5) and will ultimately be the Business record that remains after the merge. Perform a search for the "Into" Business.
From the BUSINESS SEARCH RESULTS screen, select the radio button of the "Into" Business record and click the Select button.
The BUSINESS MERGE REQUEST screen returns. The selected Business, and related details, is populated under the Into section.
Select the reason for the Merge Request from the required Reason dropdown.
Enter evidence and any other details related to the Merge Request in the required Reason Notes field.
Once completed entering the above details, type the word "Yes" into the Merge Confirmation box. Then click the Merge Request button.
