When adding an Offense to an Wildlife Citation, several different paths and related screens can be encountered based on the selection made on the OFFENSE CATEGORY screen. Below are the steps and details of these various paths and screens.
Before you start:
|
Perform the initial steps to add an Wildlife Citation, or search for and retrieve an existing Wildlife Citation from the PROCESS SEARCH RESULTS screen.
Once the Wildlife Citation has been initially added or retrieved from a search, click on the OFFENSES tab.
The OFFENSES tab displays. Click the Add Offense button.
The OFFENSE CATEGORY screen displays. Select the radio button of an Offense category and click the Select button.
A screen based on your selection displays. Below are the steps to follow based on your Offense category selection:
Any selection of a category besides Other
If the category contains only one Offense Code, skip to Step b. Otherwise, select the radio button of an Offense Code from the OFFENSE SEARCH RESULTS screen and click the Select button.
Depending on the Offense selected, one of the screens listed below will display. These screens are referred to as Offense Entry Screens and will guide you through the process of entering Charging Text for the selected Offense. Click on a screen name for details and button explanations of that screen:
Enter (or select) the Offense data requested by the first screen and click the Next button.
Note:
|
Once the first entry screen is completed and the Next button is clicked, the second screen in the sequence displays. Complete this screen and click the Next button.
Repeat Step d until the OFFENSE FULL TEXT SCREEN displays. This screen contains all Charging Text entered on the previous screens, an Add button in place of a Next button, and is the final screen in the sequence. Review the entered Charging Text, make any edits if necessary, and then click the Add button.
Note: If your county participates in the NIBR program, the NIBR Code dropdown will display. Depending on the county, this field may be required. If there is only a single NIBR association, the value will default and be view-only. |
Note: If the Charging Text required single or multiple selections from lists, then edits to these cannot be performed from the OFFENSE FULL TEXT SCREEN. The Charging Text must be reentered. Click the Start Over button to begin this process. |
(If the Offense requires an Alcohol Test or a CR-341, the related screens will display by default. Add and submit this data. See Add/Edit Blood Alcohol or Add/Edit CR-341 for more Help.)
(If the results of the Alcohol Test from the above step require a CVR 2 & 8, the related screen will display by default. Add and submit this data. See Add/Edit CVR 2 & 8 for more Help.)
(If the Offense requires a CVR-13, the related screen will display by default. Add and submit this data. See Add/Edit CVR 13 for more Help.)
A selection of Other
The OFFENSE SEARCH screen displays. Perform a search for the Offense Title.
From the OFFENSE SEARCH RESULTS screen, select the radio button of an Offense Code and click the Select button. From here, the steps are identical to the steps in Any selection of a category besides Other above.
Once the multi-screen procedure is completed, the OFFENSE FULL TEXT screen for the Offense displays. Review and edit the text and click the Add button.
Note: If a particular Local (99) Offense does not return from a search, this may indicate the Offense has not yet been added by an Administrator. See Add a Newly Created Local (99) Offense to a Process to add it manually. |
