The system will generate any subpoenas requested only at the time of process issuance.    The generated subpoenas will then be available for printing.  All information required to print the Subpoena will be used when it is generated.  This includes: Defendants Name, Name/Address/Phone of Person Subpoenaed, Court Information (i.e. Court Date, Court Room, Court Session), Subpoena instructions, and Issue Date.

 A file number will be generated by the system replacing the TMP number.  Format is "YYTTTNNNNNN" where YY=Year, TTT=Case Type, and NNNNNN=Sequence Number.  e.g. "05CR 050000" or "99CRS000197".  The file numbers are a range of numbers generated for each county.

The offense date cannot be changed to a date that invalidates defendants age on a process (i.e. The defendant cannot be less than 16 years of age unless the defendant is an Emancipated Juvenile or the case is to be tried at the Superior Court level.)  

The defendant can never be less than 13 years of age at date of offense. If not, display message, “Error: New Offense Dates not valid for defendant age”.

When editing a process that has been served
 

 

Only the person that issued the process or someone with authority (proxy) acting as the magistrate, the LDA or any clerk with authority can make updates.

Note: The 8 hr rule applies if Magistrate Order or Citations.

The process must have the following information prior to displaying the ‘Denied Summary Detail’ screen:

  1. Defendant required fields
  2. Offense Tab required fields
  3. Complainant required fields

 

If the above information is not completed on the process, display an Error Message on the Summary Tab View stating:  ‘The following information must be entered prior to denying the process:  <list one or more of the segments missing>

Allow all fields on the Edit Summary form, except Issued Date, Denied Date, Denied By and Probable Cause fields to be updated up to 8 hours.

Once a process is denied (by submitting the Summary Detail screen with Probable Cause set to ‘No’ for all offenses)

 

 

The status of the process will be changed to Denied.
