Initiating Processes - Court Info Rules

The following rules are applicable to Court information for ALL
initiating processes. Some rules are also applicable to Release Orders.  Additional rules that are specific to only certain processes appear further down in a separate area.
 

When adding or editing the court date

 

The court date cannot be before the date of offense.  Display message, “Error: Court date must be greater than or equal to offense date”.

When adding or editing the court date
 

 

The Court Date cannot be before the date the originating/initiating process was issued. Display message, “Error: Court date must be greater than or equal to issue date”.

When adding or editing the court date

 

When adding or editing the court date the Court Date must be in the 12 months following the current date. Display message, “Court date must be within 12 months following the current date”.

When adding or editing the court date
 

 

If the court date entered is a weekend date or holiday, issue a message, ”Warning: Date selected is a weekend or holiday”.

When adding or editing court times
 

 

If the court time is specified as AM or PM, restrict the hours to 1-12; restrict the minutes to 0-59. Display message, “Error: Court time must be valid”.

When selecting court type
 

 

Allow 'Superior' as a Court Type to be selected when process type equals Subpoena (Generate Subpoena has been selected on any screen), Fugitive Order, Fugitive Warrant, Direct Criminal Contempt, Release Order, Appearance Bond and Order for Arrest.  These are processes where District or Superior may be selected.

When a LEO is added as a Complainant to a Warrant for Arrest, Criminal Summons, Magistrate Order, Wildlife, ALE/ABC, or General Citation resulting in a Magistrate Order, Worthless Check Criminal Summons, Worthless Check Warrant, Fugitive Order or Fugitive Warrant

 

Display the “Officer Court Schedule” button. Selection of button will display the LEO Complainant’s court schedule on the COURT DETAILS screen.

When the Officer Court Schedule is screen is invoked by selection of the “Officer Court Schedule” button.

 

Sort the returned court info rows in this order:

1. Officer Name

2. Court Date (in ascending order, starting with current Date)

When the LEO Complainant query returns no Court Dates (rows)

 

Display an otherwise blank screen with the text “No Results Found” and a “Cancel” button.

When the search criteria matches more than 250 records from the database

 

Display a message under the “Listing” row count (1- 25, 26- 50, 51- 75, etc) that reads “Warning: Search results exceeded 250 records.”

If the process already contains previously enter Court Details, and the Officer Court Schedule function is utilized

 

The Court data from the select row overwrites the existing Court Details.

When adding Court Details to a Release Order AND the initiating process (case) contains a LEO Complainant

 

Display the “Officer Court Schedule” button. Selection of button will display the LEO Complainant’s court schedule on the COURT DETAILS screen.

When adding Court Details to a Release Order with related cases AND the Lead Case and related cases contain zero to multiple LEO Complainants

The court information for this process can be edited 8 hours after issue date is set.
